The Judge Group is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to support critical technology and security initiatives for a key government client. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and securing Azure cloud environments while ensuring compliance with government cybersecurity frameworks.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure Azure cloud environments
Lead the configuration and deployment of Azure security platforms across multiple cloud regions
Define and enforce Azure security policies, standards, and governance frameworks
Conduct network and application vulnerability testing for Azure systems
Implement cybersecurity controls aligned with Zero‑Trust principles, Defense‑in‑Depth, and compliance requirements
Support incident response through diagnostics, monitoring, alerting, and audit‑trail management
Partner with internal/external stakeholders, including government clients, auditors, and leadership
Enable security automation within CI/CD pipelines and integrate scanning tools
Contribute to cloud security strategy, architecture decisions, and remediation roadmaps
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (Master's preferred)
5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity within Azure environments
5+ years managing Azure-specific security policies, controls, and initiatives
Strong understanding of: Identity & Access Management (IAM), MFA, SSO, and Federation, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Azure security configuration and architecture, Vulnerability testing for Azure workloads, CI/CD security and software scanning tools
Proven experience securing cloud environments across: Identity, Credential & Access Management, Zero-Trust frameworks, Data protection and encryption, OS-level hardening (Windows/Linux), Network security and segmentation, Governance, compliance, and audit readiness, Continuous monitoring, diagnostics, and incident response, Azure compute, storage, and networking services
Preferred
Experience supporting government clients, including GovCloud environments
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure/AWS/Google security certifications
Experience maintaining FISMA and FedRAMP compliance
Hands-on experience with Azure security tools, including: Extended Detection & Response (XDR), Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection, DLP, OneTrust, Kubernetes security, Azure IAM, AWS IAM, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), MTO, Lighthouse, Key Vault, Conditional Access, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, M365 security tools
