They are seeking an Admin Services Assistant Per Diem to provide a full range of administrative support for the Operating Room, including scheduling surgical services and coordinating communications between operating rooms.

Responsibilities
Provides full range of administrative support for the Operating Room
Answers phones, directs calls, schedules surgical and invasive services, procedures, and clinic visits
Serves as primary receptionist as needed
Coordinates communications between several operating rooms via telephone and intercom
Acts as liaison between patients, patient's families, surgeons, nursing staff and outside parties when needed
Generates a variety of correspondence, reports, and minutes
Assigns scrub access, stocks coffee in the lounge, and maintain various databases
Will be assigned other administrative tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years recent administrative experience in Operating Room (or similar healthcare environment), with a variety of surgical cases
Experience in a inpatient setting, medical assistant background, and 3 plus years of healthcare experience in a large setting
Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Possess effective time management skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Highly detail-oriented
Must possess the ability to work effectively and equitably with others
Preferred
Medical terminology training and/or certificate
Database management experience. Working knowledge of EPIC/OpTime system, and ORSOS
