IPS Quality Inspection Team Lead (33878)

Responsibilities
Organize and assign daily inspection priorities for IPS Processing QA Inspectors in alignment with SOPs, production needs, and readiness of workstations
Perform advanced inspections (incoming, in-process, pre-final, and validation parts) to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Provide floor-level guidance and coaching on inspection techniques, measurement methods, sampling plans, and documentation expectations
Verify completion and accuracy of inspection records and DHR documentation for traceability, legibility, and compliance with GDP and internal procedures (including UDI where applicable)
Coordinate the investigation and documentation of nonconforming materials; support root cause analysis, containment, and escalation per the NCMR process
Serve as the first point of contact on the floor, communicating priorities, answering documentation questions, and escalating risks to the Supervisor in a timely manner
Contribute to the drafting, updating, and revision of controlled procedures and work instructions, ensuring current documents are accurate and available to the team
Support audit readiness by maintaining organized records, facilitating document retrieval, and assisting with internal/external audit walkthroughs
Oversee packaging/labeling conformance checks for cleaned components prior to transfer, ensuring cleanliness, handling, and traceability requirements are met
Monitor day-to-day quality and throughput signals (e.g., defect patterns, rework triggers) and summarize observations to the Supervisor to inform actions and improvements
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
Advanced knowledge of IPS Processing QA procedures, inspection criteria, and regulatory requirements to guide team activities effectively
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and controlled documentation to support advanced inspection tasks
Advanced skill in the use of precision measurement tools, calibrated inspection equipment, and sampling methodologies
Ability to verify, review, and ensure accuracy of inspection records, DHR entries, and quality documentation in alignment with GDP and regulatory expectations
Strong attention to detail to identify complex quality issues, discrepancies, and patterns that require escalation or corrective action
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and communicate effectively with inspectors, peers, and cross-functional partners
Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to manage shifting inspection priorities, production demands, and changing work environments
Ability to contribute to procedure updates, controlled document revisions, and audit readiness activities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements
Commitment to upholding KLS Martin's workplace quality and safety policies, and HIPAA requirements related to IPS Processing QA production and documentation
