Responsibilities
This individual will plan, lead, and execute tests designed to improve production, profitability, reduce environmental impact and improve safety
Monitor and analyze process data and recommend solutions to process problems
Obtain an understanding of the current feed/voltage computer operating system
Evaluate materials and develop an understanding of required tools for measurements while taking samples/measurements
Forecast process parameters and calculations for strategic planning purposes
Develop and maintain computer databases for both routine analysis reporting and resolution of periodic process problems
Maintain broad-based knowledge of technical developments within the industry for data collection and training personnel
Lead/execute trials and special projects (i.e., Process improvements, Lean projects, six sigma, and technology development)
Qualification
Required
1-3 years' experience in heavy manufacturing industry
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or technical field
Strong technical skills
Proficient level of computer knowledge
Health, safety and environmentally focused
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Desire to learn and continuously improve
