Responsibilities
Lead design, construction, and commissioning activities for HV electrical systems and transmission components
Support and manage the Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA) process with utilities, ISOs, and RTOs
Review and optimize designs for HV/MV substations, collection systems, transmission lines, and major equipment (transformers, breakers, switchgear, BESS)
Conduct or oversee power system studies (power flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, protection coordination)
Serve as the primary technical interface across internal teams and external partners (EPCs, consultants, utilities, vendors)
Support HV equipment procurement by developing bid packages, reviewing vendor submittals, and optimizing technical solutions
Provide technical leadership during construction and commissioning, including site oversight, quality control, and acceptance testing
Contribute to project reporting, milestone tracking, and proactive issue resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; PE (US) or P.Eng. (Canada) required (Electrical Engineering strongly preferred)
8+ years of experience (10–15+ preferred) in utility-scale power systems, interconnection, and HV design
Hands-on experience with North American ISOs/RTOs and grid interconnection processes
Blend of field and office experience with a lifecycle mindset
Collaborative leader with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver's license (motor vehicle check required)
