Focus on WD is a leading healthcare organization hiring a Workday Grants Product Manager to own the Grants domain in a large, enterprise Workday environment. This role is central to stabilizing Grants operations and evolving the Grants product to support long-term research and funding needs.

Responsibilities

Be the primary product owner for Workday Grants, representing Research Administration, Finance, and Compliance needs

Own the product roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation aligned to research and funding objectives

Translate business requirements into clear functional designs and Workday configurations

Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions align with platform standards and downstream reporting needs

Lead stabilisation efforts for Grants, addressing functional gaps, process inefficiencies, and adoption challenges

Improve end-to-end grants lifecycle processes including proposal setup, award management, billing, cost sharing, and closeout

Support data validation, reconciliation, and audit readiness for grants and sponsored research

Required

7+ years supporting grants management, sponsored research, or research finance systems

Hands-on Workday Grants experience in a functional role or product ownership capacity

Strong understanding of the full grants lifecycle in a research, academic, or regulated environment

Experience in a post implementation ERP environment, including stabilisation and optimisation

Ability to lead cross functional discussions and influence without direct authority

Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders

Preferred

Experience in complex research organisations, academic medical centres, or higher education environments

Knowledge of Workday Financial Management, Payroll, and reporting

Experience migrating from legacy ERP or grants systems into Workday

Experience partnering with system integrators during and after implementation
