Director of Business Development
Meals of Hope is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity by engaging corporations, franchises, schools, and community organizations in impactful meal-packing events. The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition, development, and expansion of national and multi-location corporate partners, focusing on selling large-scale meal-packing events and corporate engagement programs.

Responsibilities
Identify, target, and secure national and enterprise-level corporate accounts for meal-packing events and ongoing partnerships
Build and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects including Fortune 1000 companies, large franchise systems, houses of worship, and national organizations
Develop customized proposals and partnership structures aligned with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI0, and team engagement objectives
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution
Meet or exceed annual revenue and event sales targets
Negotiate multi-event, multi-year, and multi-location agreements
Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts
Collaborate with internal operations and program teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client experiences
Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Work closely with franchise systems, corporate HR teams, and executive leadership to scale packing events nationwide
Represent Meals of Hope at conferences, trade shows, and industry events
Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and national expansion efforts
Qualification
Required
5+ years of business development, national account sales, or enterprise sales experience
Proven track record of closing mid to large, complex deals ($25K–$500K+)
Experience selling experiential programs, events, sponsorships, or CSR-related offerings preferred
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite and senior leadership
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Willingness to travel nationally as needed
Preferred
Experience working with nonprofits, social enterprises, or cause-based organizations
Familiarity with corporate social responsibility (CSR), ESG initiatives, or employee engagement programs
Experience selling to franchise systems, large retailers, or multi-unit operators
