Project Controls Lead

Standard Lithium is a publicly traded lithium company focused on advancing multiple lithium brine projects in the southern United States. The Project Controls Lead is responsible for overseeing project scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and reporting across all capital and operational projects supporting the company’s lithium processing facilities.

Responsibilities

Leads the project control activities across multiple project areas including consolidation of monthly/quarterly/annual project reporting
Coordinates with Project Controls leads within construction contractors’ organizations
Supports the setup and management of our Corporate Project Cost Control systems and other change management procedures/tools
Supports preparation of other Project, Financing and Corporate Monthly/Quarterly reporting and Board presentations
Supports Federal/Regulatory reporting requirements
Trains staff and contractors on Company project controls processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related discipline
10+ years' experience in Project Controls in an Owner's organization or EPC/EPCM environment
Experience supporting multiple project sites or remote field locations
Understanding of contracting, procurement, and construction cost structures
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely reporting
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Communicate effectively with the Standard lithium team, partners, service providers and other project stakeholders
Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions
Sets clear and challenging goals while committing the organization to improved performance and accountable in driving results
Comply with the policies, procedures and standards set out by Standard Lithium, and with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including relevant Securities standards
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors
Perform any other duties that are required from time to time to support the corporate vision

Preferred

Effective communication skills including document writing proficiency
Solid understanding of finance and procurement processes
Experience implementing Project Management/Cost Management systems and software/solutions
Excellent Excel and data analytic skills. Proficient in PowerPoint and competent in using relevant software like MS Office and other business and communication platforms
Takes initiative with keen attention to detail
Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
Willing to explore and understand new technologies and innovative practices
Ability to support multiple projects of diverse sizes and complexity
Ability to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge across teams
