Responsibilities
Lead complex supplier recovery projects end-to-end: define project scope, develop recovery plans, manage milestones, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications
Serve as primary technical and programmatic interface between BGS, suppliers, customers, and internal functional teams (Global Field Operations, Supplier Management & Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain Recovery Teams)
Provide engineering resource determination, alignment, and reach-back across BGS and BCA/BDS Program level engineering as needed
Oversee and lead executive approved On-Site Supplier Recovery efforts and engagements, including deep-dive root cause analysis, process capability studies, and validation testing
Gather and assess engineering requirements needed to rectify supplier constraints
Drive supplier corrective action execution and verify implementation effectiveness and return to stable production
Lead contingency planning for near-term containment actions and medium-/long-term corrective strategies; manage trade-offs between cost, schedule, and risk
Develop and manage project documentation: integrated recovery schedules, technical specifications, risk registers, change requests, test plans, and acceptance criteria
Facilitate executive-level briefings, program reviews, and customer status updates; escalate issues and propose mitigation options
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality (AS9100), and program-specific requirements during recovery activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace) or related field
9+ years of engineering or program management experience in manufacturing, supplier management, or recovery roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years' experience in an Aerospace Engineering discipline
1+ year of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with supplier engagement and measurable delivery/quality recovery outcomes
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification
Strong technical background in manufacturing processes, process validation, and root cause analysis for manufacturing
Proven ability to develop and execute recovery plans under schedule pressure and to negotiate remediation scope with suppliers and procurement
Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for supplier engagement and cross-functional coordination
Project management skills: schedule development, critical path analysis, risk management, budget tracking. PMP or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing planning, and industrial engineering practices
Prior experience in aerospace sustainment, MRO, or defense contracting with supplier remediation responsibilities
Familiarity with procurement processes, contract remedies, and cost recovery principles
Boeing business knowledge and previous exposure to supply chain or supplier management — experience navigating BGS processes, procurement engagement, and supplier governance is highly desirable
