Responsibilities

Provides technical support and solves problems in area of expertise via remote or on-site service in any service category (installation and commissioning; maintenance; repairs; engineering and consulting; advanced services; extensions, upgrades, and retrofits; end-of-life services, replacements, etc
Provides technical consulting on Service solutions to management, factory quality, and customers. Provides recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service
Manages customer relationships and maintains regular contact with key customers
Complete/Concise/Accurate documentation of customer interactions and case management in a timely manner
Create/modify documentation to meet business/customer needs for documentation such as Procedures and Methods of Procedure
Works to reduce cost and improves the quality of delivery of service and projects
Participates in 24 X 7 On-Call Rotation for after-hours Technical Support
Travel to site up to 20% to assist in site escalations and training opportunities
Participate /Assist in training courses. This will be in both student and trainer situations

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringCritical Power EquipmentNETA CertificationNICET CertificationCompTIA CertificationCustomer Relationship ManagementTechnical SupportDocumentation Skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering Technology with 1+ years of work experience servicing critical power equipment; Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3+ years' experience in servicing critical power equipment; or 5+ years equivalent work/military experience servicing critical power equipment (UPS, STS, PDU, etc.)
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

Preferred

NETA Certification is preferred
NICET Certification is a plus
CompTIA Certification is desirable
Electrical License would be an advantage
