They are seeking a Field Commissioning Technician responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining solar tracking control systems for utility-scale solar systems.

Responsibilities
Being a self-motivated and responsible team player, with the ability to work both individually and in a team setting, to accomplish a unified goal
Being able to read and understand basic construction drawings sets
Possessing the ability to work independently within company established procedures associated with specific job functions
Providing controls and software trainings (both virtual and in-person) of the project specific system, to the customers and their O&M teams
Collaborating with other company engineering resources and coordinating their efforts during project development
Completing reporting as required by company practices and policies
Working closely with commissioning teams to improve best practices, commissioning and operational documentation
Assisting the Team with root cause analysis relating to product deficiencies or malfunctions and assist with performing preventive/corrective maintenance
Proposing solutions to address or prevent product deficiencies or malfunction
Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management
Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Utility/Commercial Construction
Valid Driver's License
Experience reading project specific construction drawings
Focus on the safety and quality of service, with strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Electronics experience, specifically wireless communications
Knowledgeable in computer programming and software
Strong sense of determination to complete tasks, with the capability to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
High level of reliability with strong importance on setting and exceeding customer expectations
Previous experience with basic hand tools
Ability to lift items in excess of 30 lbs., and being on foot for potentially long periods of time, when in the field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties
Requires repetitive movement
Preferred
Utility Solar experience preferred
ZigBee protocol experience a plus
Modbus a plus
Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
Post-secondary education recommended
OSHA certifications are a plus
