Responsibilities

Draw up legal documents covering purchase and sale of land, draft deeds and affidavits, and present other evidence to meet legal requirements of documents

Review and analyze instruments prepared by attorneys and other parties, collaborating with counsel and internal teams to identify legal requirements, assess risk, and resolve title and transactional issues

Review all titles and settlement papers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with underwriting standards and risk mitigation objectives

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Minimum 0–3 years of legal experience, preferably in real estate, title insurance, or transactional law

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and risk awareness

Professional demeanor and ability to build effective relationships with clients, attorneys, and internal teams

Proficiency with legal and business technology (document management systems, Microsoft Office, and file tracking platforms)

Admitted to practice law in the State of New York (active and in good standing)
