Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics
Develop, optimize, and support ETL/ELT workflows using platforms such as Databricks, Python, and SQL
Translate user and mission requirements into efficient, reliable data solutions
Clean, validate, and transform structured and semi-structured datasets
Maintain and optimize databases and data stores within application environments
Automate data workflows, monitoring, and quality checks to improve reliability and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, timelines, and delivery expectations
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Experience: 3-10+ years of directly related experience in data engineering or related roles
Education: Master's degree required (M.A./M.S.)
Data Engineering: Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
Programming & Tools: Strong proficiency in Python and/or R
Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation, extraction, and transformation
Experience building data pipelines using Databricks or comparable ETL platforms
Data Operations: Proven experience maintaining, optimizing, and automating production data pipelines
Preferred
Experience working in Advana environments
Experience working with survey data or complex analytical datasets
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to high-quality, accurate data deliverables
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a mission-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
