Responsibilities
Shift: FT Days, 7a-7p
Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking
Provides relationship-based patient centered care that is consistent with population specific characteristics
Always partners with the patient and significant others using methods like bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds
Practices using current clinical practice standards
Teamwork and Collaboration
Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model
Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner
Participates and supports performance improvement and actively supports/participates in shared governance at all levels
Professional Development and Initiative
Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and required education
Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses to ensure a qualified workforce
Evidence Based Practice and Research
Promotes Evidence based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing
Upholds all health care system policies and clinical competencies
Participates in data collection and uses evidence to address practice questions
Resources and Support
Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum
Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes
Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources
Qualification
Required
Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
Current BLS certification
Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required
Education: Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing required
Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact
Current BLS certification upon hire
Ability to read, write and speak English language
Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies
Possesses excellent time management and strong critical thinking skills
Preferred
Oncology or acute care experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
Direct patient care experience, particularly in oncology or Med-Surg, is preferred
