Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems

Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management

Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Orion, and Wireshark

Respond to and resolve network outages and performance issues, escalating when necessary

Maintain VMware hosts and virtual environments; perform health checks and capacity planning

Implement and enforce network security measures, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewall policies

Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NERC CIP, ISO 27001) and organizational security policies

Manage ServiceNow queues for network-related incidents and changes

Collaborate with major incident management teams for critical issue resolution

Develop and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and network diagrams

Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for audit and knowledge sharing

Mentor junior network staff and provide technical guidance

Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget
