Responsibilities

Design and implement engineering solutions that ensure analyzer, instrumentation, and control systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with standards
Lead technical troubleshooting for complex analyzer and instrumentation issues to improve reliability and support daily operations
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and project teams to guide repairs, validate installations, refine processes, and develop test procedures
Analyze equipment and performance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support root‑cause investigations
Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation while supporting small to midsize projects
Drive reliability initiatives by addressing obsolescence, evaluating new technologies, and leading pilot programs
Provide training, share technical expertise, and participate in cross‑site or network discussions to support best practices and continuous improvement

Required

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Possess a valid driver's license
Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following: Travel up to 5%
Operate company vehicle on site premises and/or public roads up to 10%
Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional duties
Transport articles up to 50 pounds
Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions
Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment
Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
Bachelor's degree in engineering
3 or more years of engineering experience directly related to instrumentation or analyzer systems

Preferred

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas or chemicals industry with emphasis on analyzers and/or instrumentation
Experience working with Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) units
Experience with CEMS and SCAQMD / EPA Regulations and Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
