PROSPER Program Student Ambassador (PT)

Passaic County Community College is seeking PCCC students to serve as PROSPER Program Student Ambassadors. The role involves promoting various programming and opportunities offered by the PROSPER program to current students and alumni, conducting outreach, and assisting with career readiness workshops.

Responsibilities

Actively promote to currently enrolled PCCC students and recently graduated PCCC alumni the various programming/opportunities offered by PCCC’s PROSPER program, which include but are not limited to 3+1 academic options, micro-internships, and Academic Year 2025-2026 Leadership Training and Hands-On Math/Science Training programs
Conduct targeted outreach (e.g., event attendance, tabling, PCCC club and organization meetings) to advertise PROSPER programming/opportunities to PCCC students and alumni
Connect interested individuals to appropriate PROSPER team members
Maintain up-to-date project-specific data and records related to conducted outreach and individuals who have expressed interest in participating in each PROSPER initiative
Supplement the PROSPER team, as needed, to deliver information to and assist interested students with career readiness and transfer (3+1) workshops, activities (e.g., resume and e-portfolio, preparation, completing applications), and campus tours
Participate in project evaluation upon request

Required

Must have previously participated in PROSPER programming opportunities and/or must be participating in one or more PROSPER programming opportunities during Academic Year 2025-2026
Must have completed at least two (2) full semesters at PCCC
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required
Must have a proven ability to work both independently and in diverse teams
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends, as programming/recruiting strategies require

Preferred

Bilingual in English and another high-need language (e.g., Spanish, Arabic)

New Jersey Sick Leave : Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
