Responsibilities
Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with clinical, administrative, and business objectives
Lead, mentor, and supervise IT Managers
Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to identify technology needs and implement solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Oversee IT budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations
Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Monitor emerging healthcare technology trends and recommend tools that improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, and organizational efficiency
Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all systems and platforms
Oversee device management, including procurement, inventory, deployment, maintenance, and end-of-life replacement for: Clinical devices (e.g., bedside monitors, diagnostic tools), Desktop and laptop computers, Mobile devices (tablets, smartphones), Network and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, routers)
Develop and maintain a device replacement and lifecycle plan, ensuring hardware is upgraded proactively to reduce downtime and support operational continuity
Ensure projects and vendor activities comply with HIPAA, security standards, and organizational policies
Support risk assessments, audits, and documentation related to IT systems and vendors
Promote best practices for data security, system reliability, and patient safety
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a healthcare environment
Proven experience managing IT teams and multiple functional managers
Deep knowledge of healthcare IT systems, EHR/EMR platforms, cybersecurity, telehealth, and compliance regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
Strong strategic planning and budgeting skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across clinical and administrative teams
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions
Preferred
Master's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
