Health Care Compliance Officer Supervisor - Behavioral Health
The Arizona Department of Health Services promotes and protects the health of Arizona’s children and adults. They are seeking a Health Care Compliance Officer Supervisor to oversee compliance inspections, manage licensing for health care institutions, and provide guidance to subordinate staff.

Responsibilities
Supervises, directs, and provides advice and guidance to lower-level worker
Manage and direct subordinate staff (work assignments, setting priorities, hiring, discipline, providing training, approving leave requests, and preparing evaluations)
Assists with or determines the issuing of licenses to licensed facilities and providers, maintaining current licenses by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations
Assists with or conducts initial and annual recertification/compliance inspections of health care institutions, sober living homes, and behavior-supported group homes regulated by the Department to determine compliance with all applicable regulations
Assists with or conducts advanced level investigations of the operation of a licensed facility or provider upon receiving a complaint or of an unlicensed facility
Performing services that need regulation
Performs, assists or reviews detailed investigative or inspection reports, statements of deficiencies, and correspondence regarding changes in the status of a licensee’s license, or other types of legal orders
Corresponds with the regulated community or with regulatory bodies, responds to technical questions from licensees, develops standards, participates in rulemaking
Provides technical assistance to providers and consumers
Participates in and/or leads staff, advisory committee, and/or stakeholder organization meetings
Requests/analyzes/oversees/responds to feedback from clients on services
Oversees training program for new employees
Generates training materials and gives presentations to internal/external stakeholders as assigned
Oversee and/or review of quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data
Develops standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and other performance-related metrics
Other duties as assigned as related to the position. (typically 5% - 10%)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience as a surveyor/compliance officer OR Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience in management or project management, or similar experience
Must have driver's license and ability to travel statewide
Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S. 41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days after beginning employment
Must obtain within 2 years of hire: CLEAR-Basic-National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training Certificate and CLEAR-Specialized-National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training Certificate
