As an Accounting & Finance Intern, you will support the accounting team in ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements while gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis and process improvement.

Primary/Secondary Education

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial and audit documentation
Analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support the identification and resolution of discrepancies in financial records
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline audit processes
Conduct research on regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Participate in internal control assessments and risk evaluations
Prepare reports and presentations for audit readiness reviews
Prepare PO trackers for the FL schools by incorporating budget amounts for controllable expense
Assist with uploading school budgets to the Epicenter
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Help with preparing reports for monthly or quarterly financial reviews
Assist with populating formulas in accounting software to support the updating of financial forecasts

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Basic understanding of financial principles and audit processes
