Director of Pro Sales
Cherry Talent Group is partnering with a leading building materials supplier to hire a Professional Design Consultant – Builder Sales. This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role designed for experienced construction sales professionals who thrive on relationship-building and proactive outreach to close new business.

Responsibilities
Proactively identify, pursue, and close new builder, contractor, and design partners within your assigned territory
Execute consistent outbound prospecting through calls, emails, follow-ups, and structured outreach cadences
Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand project scope, specifications, timelines, and buying drivers
Position products confidently while addressing objections related to pricing, lead times, specifications, and competitive alternatives
Own the full sales cycle, from first contact through close and ongoing account expansion
Grow accounts through repeat business, upsells, cross-sells, and long-term relationship management
Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Monday.com
Collaborate closely with warehouse, operations, and support teams to ensure smooth fulfillment and partner satisfaction
Develop deep knowledge of products, applications, and specifications through hands-on learning and field exposure
Participate in occasional in-person meetings to strengthen relationships and expand key accounts
Consistent net-new partner acquisition within assigned territory
Daily and weekly outbound activity benchmarks
Monthly and quarterly revenue targets tied to account activation and growth
Healthy pipeline coverage, opportunity progression, and close rates
Ongoing engagement to retain, expand, and deepen builder and contractor relationships
Qualification
Required
3+ years of sales experience within doors, building materials, or related construction products
Proven success in a quota-carrying, outbound, full-cycle sales role
Experience selling directly to residential builders, contractors, remodelers, or design professionals
Demonstrated ability to prospect, manage objections, and close new business consistently
Comfort operating autonomously with clear performance expectations
Competitive, proactive, and results-driven mindset
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple active opportunities with urgency and accountability
Calm, confident objection handling — especially around pricing, lead times, and specifications
Strong CRM discipline and follow-through
