New Grad, Entry LevelDominion Paving & Sealing is seeking a Paving Crew Skilled Laborer to join their production team. The role involves performing physical labor tasks in parking lots and beside active roadways, including operating hand tools and assisting in asphalt paving and patching.
Construction
Responsibilities
Use of tools to clean and prepare surface for asphalt paving
Manual labor including shoveling, brooming and raking
General labor duties associated with asphalt paving and patching
Required ability to rake asphalt to establish smooth seems, around utilities, and drainage in asphalt surfaces
Equipment and job cleanup as necessary
Ability to operate small power tools
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of traffic control devices
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain and dusty environments
Constantly need to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, shovel, rake and dig for hours at a time
Continuously able to lift fifty pounds or more on a repetitive basis
Be able to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime when necessary
Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to safety standards
Communication skills: ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous professional manner at all times
