Responsibilities
Edit long-form video content into high-impact short-form clips for social platforms
Identify compelling moments and structure edits around strong hooks and tight pacing
Maintain visual clarity and emphasis using zooms, highlights, captions, and framing
Perform audio cleanup including noise reduction, volume leveling, and removal of clicks, pops, and background hum
Apply basic color correction and grading to ensure consistent visual quality
Resize and reformat video content for multiple platforms including 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 formats
Ensure proper framing, caption placement, and readability within platform-specific safe zones
Apply best practices for optimal clip length and performance across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels
Manage multiple edits efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
Coordinate with content, marketing, and creative partners to align edits with distribution goals
Support batch production of multiple short-form clips from single long-form recordings
Qualification
Required
Proficiency with at least one professional video editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong experience with audio cleanup including noise reduction, volume leveling, and removal of clicks, pops, and background noise
Working knowledge of basic color correction and grading techniques
Proven ability to repurpose long-form video into short-form content optimized for social media
Strong sense of hooks, pacing for short attention spans, and clear visual emphasis
Experience creating content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels
Knowledge of resizing and reformatting video while maintaining visual quality and framing
Familiarity with platform-specific best practices including safe zones, caption placement, and readability
Preferred
Motion graphics experience using After Effects or similar tools
Experience batch-producing multiple short-form clips from a single long-form video
Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools for auto-reframing, smart cropping, or highlight detection
Experience with automated or styled caption workflows
Ability to identify and recommend which moments are best suited for short-form distribution
