Responsibilities
Guide SVdP Alameda toward achieving its mission, values, and goals. Oversee strategic planning
Oversee the operations of SVdP Alameda’s programs to ensure effective service delivery, including two thrift store locations and property management
Increase institutional support, drive initiatives to increase revenue, and enhance individual giving through strategic planning
Act as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for SVdP Alameda, building partnerships with nonprofit organizations, elected officials, and subject matter experts
Qualification
Required
Proven executive leadership experience in nonprofit management or related sectors
5+ years of experience in an Executive Director role or senior executive experience within a complex nonprofit organization
Successful management of an organization with an operational budget of at least 6 million
Proven success in fundraising across various channels, including major gifts, foundations, and government sources
A bachelor's degree is required
Preferred
An advanced degree is preferred
Experience serving the unhoused population in Alameda County and working with Oakland city officials is preferred
