Responsibilities
Manage Business Proposal Representatives, Business Proposal Managers, and Business Proposal Senior Managers
Manage the resources, processes, and systems associated with the planning, development and production of written responses to formal, competitive solicitations from Oracle clients and prospects
Develop plans within the proposal team to implement organizational policy and to meet business objectives
Interface with the highest levels of sales management within the organization
Recruitment, selection, coaching and development of staff
Assign Proposal Manager for the specific proposal efforts
Establish proposal quality guidelines, controls and standards
Develop, maintain, and utilize automated proposal management and reporting tools
Assist with organizational growth and development aligned with strategic goals and objectives
Direct employee performance and development
Manage budget and expenses
Routinely monitor work produced by team
Provide proposal process training
Assist sales organizations in all aspects of proposal capture planning, preparation management and production management
Qualification
Required
Experience in new business development within Oracle
Ability to manage Business Proposal Representatives, Business Proposal Managers, and Business Proposal Senior Managers
Experience managing resources, processes, and systems associated with proposal planning, development, and production
Ability to develop plans within the proposal team to implement organizational policy and meet business objectives
Experience managing a team of proposal management professionals
Ability to interface with high levels of sales management
Experience in recruitment, selection, coaching, and development of staff
Ability to assign Proposal Managers for specific proposal efforts
Experience establishing proposal quality guidelines, controls, and standards
Ability to develop, maintain, and utilize automated proposal management and reporting tools
Experience assisting with organizational growth and development aligned with strategic goals
Ability to direct employee performance and development
Experience managing budget and expenses
Ability to monitor work produced by the team
Experience providing proposal process training
Ability to assist sales organizations in proposal capture planning, preparation management, and production management
