Responsibilities
Define and maintain a clear product vision aligned with organizational goals
Develop and adapt product roadmap and release plans based on stakeholder input and market trends
Own and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value
Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
Ensure backlog items are ready for sprint planning and meet quality standards
Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
Gather requirements, communicate updates, and integrate feedback into backlog decisions
Attend key Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Backlog Refinement)
Provide clarification on requirements and approve completed work
Make empowered decisions on priorities and scope
Ensure deliverables meet business needs and contribute to ROI
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to define product vision and translate it into actionable roadmaps
Expertise in Agile/Scrum frameworks, including backlog grooming and sprint planning
Strong communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and development teams
Familiarity with software development processes and ability to balance technical constraints with business priorities
Experience in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing evolving requirements
Ability to act as the voice of the customer, ensuring product decisions reflect user needs and market trends
Skilled in facilitating workshops, managing competing priorities, and driving consensus among stakeholders
Bachelor's Degree (business, Computer Science, engineering, technology, health care) AND 3+ years of relevant technical experience OR 7+ years of relevant technical experience
Certification in Scrum Product Owner within 1 year
Preferred
Previous experience in contract or consulting roles as a Product Owner or similar position
Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent are highly desirable
Understanding of workflows, compliance, and integration with lab systems
Experience managing processes from order initiation through fulfillment and reporting
Ability to leverage data for decision-making and product optimization
Skilled in coordinating with external partners and managing service-level agreements
Knowledge of billing systems and financial workflows related to product delivery
