Responsibilities
Receive all incoming materials according to established procedures
Coordinate shipping needs with Contracts, Production Control, Quality, and Production to support the production schedule
Maintain a clean and organized shipping office, dock area, and warehouse
Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts
Pack outgoing freight to prevent damage during transit
Schedule and coordinate freight transport as needed
Load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently
Monitor and manage shipping/receiving supplies
Assist staff with moving heavy materials manually or using power equipment
Serve as backup for the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
Perform other duties as required, including support in receiving, shipping, warehouse, or other departments
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written) with internal and external customers and suppliers
Proficient in computer use and data entry
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Flexible to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and peak workload periods
Capable of operating forklifts (standup/reach truck), power tools, and other warehouse equipment
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and drive continuous improvement
Ability to manage priorities while working with internal staff and external personnel (delivery drivers and suppliers)
Must have documented U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status
Ability to hear, see, speak, read, and write in English
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, sit, and stand for extended periods
Ability to reach, grab, keyboard, file, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in inbound/outbound dock operations
