Accounts Payable Specialist
Noddle Companies is a leading commercial real estate development firm based in the Midwest, specializing in urban mixed-use projects and Public/Private partnerships. The Accounts Payable Specialist will process invoices and payments accurately and assist the Accounting Team with various duties.
Responsibilities
Enters invoices into the accounting system and routes to approvers
Processes payments by check/ach on a regular schedule each month
Analyzes the payable workflow
Reconciles vendor statements monthly to ensure timely payments
Creates and maintains vendor account information and required documentation
Responds to inquiries from other employees regarding vendor status and payments
Records entries and reconciles vendor and ledger accounts, as necessary
Assist with preparation of the annual 1099 tax forms for vendors
Provides backup to the front desk
Assists the other members of the Accounting Team as needed
Qualification
Required
Three or more years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in Real Estate
Basic understanding of accounting rules and procedures
Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize items that require questioning
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong customer/employee orientation
Proficient with math and with a 10 key calculator/keyboard
Preferred
Knowledge of Yardi accounting software is helpful, but not a requirement
