Responsibilities
Create design solutions: Embed into the Core Workflows and User Engagement squads, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to break down ambiguous product problems and create design solutions that are delightful for users, feasible to build, and deliver on our business goals. As part of the Engagement squad, you’ll own designing 0-to-1 user-facing features that span our entire application, like data visualizations, task management, notifications, and commenting
Build a UX vision: Work with another designer on the team to define a modern design vision for our product, articulating where our visual language and interaction patterns should evolve over time—and why it matters for users and the business. Partner with Engineering and Product to find ways we can incrementally build towards that vision
Lead discovery & research: Develop a deep understanding of our users' experience in a highly technical domain to identify user needs. Test ideas and refine designs based on direct user feedback and observed user behaviors
Establish design standards: Evolve and expand our design system thoughtfully, introducing new patterns and components that raise the bar while respecting existing constraints and technical realities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience designing elegant solutions to complex user problems
Experience designing for Core Workflows and User Engagement squads
Ability to create design solutions that are delightful for users, feasible to build, and deliver on business goals
Experience designing user-facing features that span applications, like data visualizations, task management, notifications, and commenting
Experience defining a modern design vision for products
Ability to articulate the evolution of visual language and interaction patterns
Experience developing a deep understanding of users' experience in a highly technical domain
Ability to identify user needs and refine designs based on user feedback and observed behaviors
Experience evolving and expanding design systems
Ability to build compelling business cases for design investments
Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams
Ability to understand technical complexity and propose respectful solutions
Curiosity and creativity in seeking different points of views and understanding user problems
High standards for craft and a point of view on what 'great' looks like
Ability to navigate short-term tradeoffs while planning for the long term
Strong communication skills to distill and incorporate feedback
Ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate thoughts effectively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and wear multiple hats
Eagerness to contribute to design foundations and foster a culture of design thinking
Preferred
4+ years of design experience, ideally working on a complex B2B Product
Proven ability of leading design projects from beginning to end
Portfolio that reflects strengths in both user experience and aesthetic design
Experience in the implementation of user testing and research throughout the design process
Proficiency in Figma
Experience in prototyping and interaction design
Ability to collaborate well across teams
