Responsibilities
Conduct safety audits, investigate incidents, and analyze data to identify trends and prevent future occurrences
Stay up-to-date with OSHA and other regulatory standards, updating company policies and procedures to maintain compliance
Develop and lead safety training for new hires and current employees, including monthly supervisor safety training, ensuring our team is knowledgeable and prepared
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing their safety concerns, answering questions, and resolving issues with professionalism and care
Respond to and evaluate work-related injuries, providing first aid and coordinating further medical care when necessary
Work closely with the Worker's Compensation department to review and investigate work-related injury claims, ensuring a smooth and supportive process for our employees
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent work experience
6+ months of experience in a manufacturing health and safety role is required
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
Strong knowledge of OSHA laws, accident investigation techniques, and safety audit programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, influence, and connect with employees at all levels
A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, especially in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
