Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and uphold HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
Lead employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution
Partner with leadership to support talent development, retention, and workplace culture
Champion service‑oriented HR that aligns with a luxury hospitality environment
Manage union‑related matters, grievances, and contract interpretation under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
Ensure all compliance tasks are completed (e.g., safety training, sexual harassment tutorials, onboarding documentation)
Manage benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee file management
Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding workflows
Maintain HR systems (Paylocity, Outlook, Excel) and reporting accuracy
Serve as a go‑getter and problem solver

Required

5+ years of HR management or advanced generalist experience
Background in hospitality, private clubs, luxury hotels, or high-touch service environments
Strong expertise in California employment law, compliance, and investigations
Union experience REQUIRED (grievances, negotiations, labor law, NLRA familiarity)
Experience building HR structure and processes from scratch
Professional, polished, and comfortable in a highly formal environment
Relationship-driven, discreet, and trusted by both leadership and staff
Tech proficiency: Paylocity, Excel, Outlook

Preferred

Languages: Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese highly preferred
Multilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese) highly preferred, but not required
