Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. The Research Associate position will provide a period of additional research and clinical training to prepare for future faculty roles at an academic medical center or similar institution.

Responsibilities

Shadow physicians in clinical activities to support transition to faculty role
If applicable, provide direct clinical care as part of specialty care team
Engage with laboratory and/or clinical research faculty mentors and staff to contribute to existing research portfolios
Gain knowledge and skills to initiate original research projects with support from faculty mentors
Disseminate research output in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences
Other duties as assigned

Required

MD in internal medicine or foreign equivalent
Completion of ACGME Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at time of position start
