Civil Project Manager
Alpha Inc. is a locally owned leader in heavy civil construction based in Hawaiʻi, and they are seeking a Civil Project Manager. The role involves leading and managing heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Own project P&L, cost controls, forecasting, and financial performance
Deliver work safely, on schedule, and to Alpha quality standards
Prepare, review, and manage estimates, budgets, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
Track job costs, production rates, and forecast accuracy
Identify risks early and act decisively
Build and manage project schedules
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to keep work moving
Adjust plans proactively when conditions change
Partner closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Engineers
Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable
Mentor junior team members and elevate performance
Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams
Provide clear, honest updates on progress, risks, and solutions
Resolve issues quickly and professionally
Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and legal requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Handle disputes and challenges with calm leadership and sound judgment
Qualification
Required
2–3+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
Proven success managing multiple scopes, crews, and deadlines
Experience overseeing job costs, schedules, and subcontractors
Completion of standard pre-employment screening
Successful completion of a background check conducted after a conditional offer; any prior issues will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis consistent with Hawaiʻi and federal law
Passing a drug test (for both full-time and part-time hires) conducted in line with Hawaiʻi statutory requirements

Preferred
Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
ACI certification a plus
Strong proficiency in construction management and accounting software
