Coordinator, Business Operations, FIFA World Cup 2026
FIFA World Cup 2026™ is a collaborative effort to host the world's largest sporting event across Canada, Mexico, and the USA. The Coordinator, Business Operations will play a vital role in the Safety and Security Planning & Administration team, focusing on the execution of security operations and improving processes for the tournament.

Responsibilities
Organize and manage multiple projects in tandem, to include large data collection and organization projects, supporting wider SEC planning and Administration objectives, and providing solutions for operational team’s needs
Prepare regular reports on the status of Safety and Security operations at venues (hotels, training sites, team base camps, etc.) and and create recommendations for Exec. Director of Safety and Security and the Chief Safety and Security Officer visibility
Support daily auditing processes that evaluate operational and financial delivery of contracts across all FWC26TM sites
Learn and manage the implementation and tournament delivery of multiple operational technologies and systems that support reporting activities
Execute streamlined processes for Integrating security considerations into project team documentation and alignment across different functional areas, ensuring security is embedded in overall FIFA26 planning initiatives
Support operational readiness and requirements to field SEC elements
Collaborate effectively across all SEC teams and with relevant FIFA26™ departments to integrate and communicate safety and security objectives and projects
Be willing to adapt and change to tournament time requirements in support of SEC operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or at Least 3 years of experience or educational equivalent in project management, business administration or management, sports management or related fields
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Must be willing to work long hours and be on call 24/7 during the tournament
At least 4 years of demonstrated proficiency in project management principles and delivery of complex and fast moving projects
At least one year of experience in relationship management, international or sports related fields a plus OR at least one year of business administration or operational planning experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in tandem
Demonstrated ability in project work to handle high pressure situations, tight timelines, and multiple unknowns
Demonstrated ability to work in high demand and pressure situations
Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to challenges emphasizing team strengths
Demonstrated ability to excel in a team focused environment
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project), planning software and online collaboration tools And/or venue related tools such as Monday.com, Miro, PowerBI, WeTrack, etc
Preferred
At least one year of experience in relationship management, international or sports related fields a plus
Knowledge of sport event, or safety and security planning a plus
Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
