They are seeking an Inventory Management Intern to assist with purchasing reports, communicate with suppliers, and support various departmental processes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Review daily purchasing reports, enter and send purchase orders to Mouser suppliers
Work closely with management and specialists within both Replenishment and Expediting on key processes in both teams to help satisfy both Mouser and specific customer needs
Work directly with Mouser suppliers to ensure proper processing of submitted PO’s, obtain expected ship dates for on order items, and try to improve those ship dates for stock out items
Gain a detailed understanding of different shipping processes and options for inbound shipments coming from all over the world
Communicate with other teams within the company such as Products and Customer Service to resolve problems related to on order items and customer backorders
Complete assigned projects to impact the department or organization
Gain an understanding of degree utilization in the workplace
Cross train in other departments as desired
Observe and train with team members to understand various departmental processes
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate students in good standing at either a junior or senior level, OR
Graduate students working towards a Master's degree
Major or academic focus in one or more of the following programs: Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
Exhibits strong analytical, organizational, public speaking, and critical thinking skills
Conveys a productive attitude, takes initiative, works independently, and exhibits a strong work ethic
Interacts effectively with individuals and groups of all levels inside and outside the organization
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment; proficient with internet, email, and Microsoft Office software
Able to type data and use a PC for long periods of time
