Responsibilities
Provides quality direct and indirect client care to individuals with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems
Assesses clients' continuing care/referral needs
Establishes rapport with clients
Obtains the necessary information and releases from clients, family, referral sources, and other appropriate resources
Makes referrals to Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol facilities for continuing care
Sets up Halfway House interviews and placements
Works closely with counselors and members of the multi-disciplinary team
Attends and participates in program, clinical, and administrative meetings
Actively supports the facility’s ongoing referral program
Participates in mandatory orientation and training activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
ADT certificate or active licensure to provide SUD services in Maryland
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Sound clinical judgment and excellent clinical skills
Ability to problem-solve by gathering and analyzing information
Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately
A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body standards
