CNC Machinist II
TheMasonGroup is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with Mazak experience to join their team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan machining operations
Set up CNC milling machines, including loading materials, fixtures, and tooling
Install, align, and adjust cutting tools and holders as necessary
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper execution of programmed instructions
Adjust machine settings, feeds, speeds, and tool offsets as needed for optimal performance
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes of machined parts against specifications
Identify and address deviations from quality standards, making necessary adjustments
Detect and troubleshoot machine errors or malfunctions during operation
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and changing tooling components
Maintain accurate records of production activities, setup details, tool changes, and inspection results
Provide regular updates on production progress and any issues encountered
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Follow company policies and procedures to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with specific experience operating Mazak milling machines strongly preferred
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Strong knowledge of G-code programming and Mazatrol language
Familiarity with Mazak-specific controls and operating systems is a significant advantage
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
Ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues and make necessary adjustments
Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet production goals
Prioritize safety and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights
Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination
Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels
