Performing venipuncture and capillary blood draws
Processing and labeling specimens
Operating laboratory equipment
Performing quality control procedures
Maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Accurate documentation of results in the laboratory information system
Communicates effectively with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care

Medical Laboratory Technician certificationCurrent phlebotomy certificationSpecimen handling experienceLaboratory procedures experienceProfessionalismPatient-focused approachOrganizational skills

Required

Medical Laboratory Technician certification
Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a patient-focused approach are essential

Preferred

Associates Degree from a NAACLS-accredited program
Current phlebotomy certification, or ability to obtain certification
Experience with specimen handling and laboratory procedures
1-3 years of experience
