Member Relationship Advisor I - Bilingual Spanish / Float (Warren, Riverside, Rumford, Pawtucket, Central Falls)

As a Member Relationship Advisor I, you will provide outstanding service, assist with loan processing, and engage in community outreach while cross-selling financial products to enhance member relationships.

Responsibilities
Help members in-person, over the phone, and online. Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, and address changes
Assist members in opening new accounts (checking, savings, certificates, IRAs) and recommend products and services that meet their financial needs
Help members complete loan applications, collect necessary documentation, and provide updates on loan status
Originate and close NCU's Smart Start, Cash Reserve Lines of Credit, and Personal Unsecured consumer loans
Ensure members understand their loan terms and next steps
Address member inquiries and concerns with empathy, ensuring each interaction aligns with our core values
Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable compliance, operational, and risk controls, with particular attention to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the SAFE Act
Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless service and contribute to a positive team environment
Collaborate with branch team and business partners to acquire and deepen member relationships
Work towards meeting annual sales and service goals
Act as a Navigant Credit Union ambassador in the community and at business-related functions
Manage a book of business, set appointments, and follow up on referrals
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and online tools
Experience with banking software is a plus
Strong verbal and written skills to explain financial products in a clear, accessible way
Must be service-oriented and willing to educate members on products and services that will benefit their financial well-being
Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a positive, member-focused team
Must be able to travel within the credit union's footprint based on business needs
Preferred
Ability to recommend products and services based on member needs
2 years in member service and/or teller area of a credit union or other financial institution
Understanding of loan origination, underwriting, and documentation
Bilingual Spanish
