Barr, Inc., the global leader in commercial refrigeration, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to lead and manage all human resources functions. The role involves overseeing HR operations such as payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, while promoting a supportive work environment and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compliance
Process and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, supplemental coverage, and retirement plans
Maintain and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws
Provide support and guidance to managers and staff on HR-related issues
Coordinate performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives
Maintain employee records and HR documentation
Leverage HR systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR) to streamline processes and reporting

Required

Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR, payroll, or a related field
Strong knowledge of HR systems, benefits administration, and compliance practices
Experience processing payroll and managing payroll systems
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
Experience in developing, rolling out, and executing a goal based performance management process
Experience building, developing, and executing training and development programs
Experience in creating and enhancing risk management and safety programs
Level of comfort in both industrial and office settings
Ability to manage and oversee key company systems such as, but not limited to, telecommunications, video conferencing, email communication, etc

Preferred

Familiarity with HR software (e.g., BambooHR), QuickBooks, and ERP systems is a plus
