Information Technology (IT) Operations Technician
Xtensys is a managed service provider focused on delivering innovative technology solutions to health systems. The Information Technology (IT) Operations Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining server and network environments, as well as managing audio/video conference rooms and daily reporting on system status.

Responsibilities
Monitoring and maintenance of server environment, including hardware and key application services
Monitoring of power and environmental status for server and network rooms
Maintain and update knowledgebase, logs, manuals, room diagrams and inventories necessary for efficient IT operations
Maintenance/Upgrade of power management equipment
Assist remote engineering staff with day-to-day management and maintenance
Assist Desktop Support group with routine maintenance of PC's, laptops, printers, etc., when necessary
Assist with project planning and logistics
Daily status reporting
Occasional off-hours work required
Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above
Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), or similar 24/7 operations environment
Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
Understanding of monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident management processes
ITIL Foundation or similar operational process knowledge
Experience with ticketing and incident platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty)
Qualification

Associates degree in related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience
5+ years technical experience required; previous IT Operations/Desktop support experience a plus
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must have a valid NYS driver's license
