RF/Sensor Engineering Intern
The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University is seeking undergraduate students to join their Applied Communications Department as RF/Sensor Engineering Interns. The role involves researching device use cases, designing hardware circuits, adapting sample code, testing designs, and creating documentation for various RF, Sensor, and IoT devices.

Responsibilities
Research and summarize information about the device and use cases for it
Design and build a hardware circuit
Develop/adapt sample code to apply to your device
Test and evaluate your design and code
Create a documentation package in the form of schematics and assembly drawings with notes, source code with comments, pictures, and a concise description of the device operation
Qualification
Required
You should be a sophomore or junior in a related engineering field
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
All positions at ARL require candidates to possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance; you will be notified during the interview process if this position is subject to a government background investigation
You must be a U.S. citizen to apply
Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Arduino hardware and software
Microcontrollers (PIC, Atmel, etc.)
Raspberry Pi, C, C++, and/or Python
