InternDavidson Technologies is a prime contractor supporting the Advanced Research Center (ARC) in Huntsville, AL, which is a facility for missile defense testing and evaluation. They are seeking a motivated Linux System Administrator Intern to gain hands-on experience with Linux and Red Hat products while assisting in protecting the administrative infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Identify documentation needs and assist to correct in the admin environment
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the Linux environment
Create clear work instructions and documentation for automation processes
Review current scripting with senior Linux admin and identify candidates for movement to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). Investigate and document any anomalies
Look into password management and identify any improvements that can be made to the overall process
Observe technician viewpoint of Test Support tickets (AMCOMM) and provide constructive feedback for process improvement

Qualification
Required
The selected candidate must be enrolled in higher education, in pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
Currently maintains or can quickly obtain a CompTIA Security+CE certification
A foundational understanding of the Linux command line
Familiarity with a scripting language (python or bash) or YAML is a plus
Experience with GitLab and Git is a plus
The ARC Internship Program requires possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
