Responsibilities
Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
Process Publisher/Customer payments per company guidelines
Create monthly invoicing for Publishers and apply payments on a monthly basis
Respond to payment inquiries raised by Publishers or the COOL company staff
Calculate commissions and bonuses for Sales and Account Managers on a quarterly basis
Assist with the processing of employee salaries and contractor payments
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections
Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts (vendors, expense reports, etc.)
Assist the CFO and Director of Finance on ad hoc projects as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Xero
Proficient in Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office products
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required
At least 4-5 years of related experience required
Must be able to work primarily between the hours of 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM ET
Must have a player/coach mentality, willing to both execute and lead
Ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently and set and meet deadlines
Skilled at receiving and providing direct feedback
