Responsibilities

Responsible for operating water and wastewater treatment plant equipment on a shift basis
Operating, on a permanent or rotating basis, assigned treatment plant equipment
Obtaining and recording, either in writing or by data entry, the readings of meters and gauges
Daily inspections and maintenance of assigned equipment; cleans console
Removes debris from equipment
Sampling liquid streams, preparing reports and records pertaining to equipment operation and related matters

Required

High School Diploma/GED is required
Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in wastewater treatment operations
Valid Driver's License and the ability to meet risk management guidelines is required
Massachusetts Grade IV or higher Wastewater/Water Treatment Certification as required by facility being operated

Preferred

Associates degree in related field is preferred
Massachusetts Collection System Grade I desirable
