Responsibilities
Help assist Senior Project Manager to manage overall project performance (quality, scope, schedule, cost, communication, resource issues, risks, and customer satisfaction), utilizing the resources of team members
May serve as single-point-of-contact by establishing, maintaining, and managing customer, subcontractor, and joint venture partner's expectations (where applicable) relating to project performance
Reports project status and performance data as required to management, project sponsors, and other stakeholders
Supports the planning, monitoring, and controls of the project throughout its life-cycle (bid, contract award, engineering/design, procurement, construction, closeout)
Independently submit and record project invoices
Run financial reports for assigned projects
Monitor project deadlines and benchmarks and support the Project manager with monthly reports
Prepare and present meetings notes when necessary
Resolve questions regarding the project; research and provide appropriate answers after reviewing with the team and the Project Manager to stakeholders
At any given time could be involved in a combination of:
Managing a major project
Mentoring others. (based on PMI's PMBOK®)
Assist in marketing and business development activities
Assist in changes to the project plans
Developing process for managing Projects
Reviewing Standards for Project Execution (Checklists, Flowcharts, etc.)
Mentor and support Project Assistants
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
2-4 years of experience in a project coordinator or similar role
Professional licensure in a technical field, CAPM, or related certification
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
Preferred
Experience in managing complex and/or multi-service projects
Familiarity with multiple service and multiple office environments
Previous experience mentoring and supporting junior project staff
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
Advanced proficiency in project management software and tools
Location = Office based (in a Westwood office)
