Responsibilities
Architect and design custom-built, enterprise product platforms aligned to business and technical requirements
Translate business needs into clear architectural artifacts, including Business Context Diagrams (BCD) and system-level designs
Lead application and platform architecture across microservices, APIs, data layers, and integrations
Ensure solutions meet standards for scalability, resiliency, security, and maintainability
Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural guidance
Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive technical strategy and execution
Champion modern engineering practices, DevSecOps, and cloud-native design principles
Qualification
Required
15+ years of professional software engineering experience
8+ years of experience architecting enterprise solutions on modern technology stacks
Proven experience with custom application development (not packaged platforms such as Salesforce or Oracle)
Strong foundation in software engineering and product architecture, including: Business Context Diagrams (BCD), Sequence, activity, state, ER, and data flow diagrams, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentation
Extensive hands-on experience with Angular, C#, .NET Core, and SQL/NoSQL databases
Strong experience with unit testing frameworks and automated testing strategies
8+ years of hands-on cloud-native engineering experience
Deep experience designing FaaS, PaaS, and microservices-based architectures on cloud hyperscalers
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to: API Gateway, MSK (Kafka), SNS/SQS, Lambda, Batch, Step Functions, App Mesh, Istio, Glue, Data Pipeline, Lake Formation, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, EFS, S3, Athena
Preferred
3+ years of experience with AI/ML and Generative AI technologies
Experience in Tax and Immigration domains, particularly with user-facing applications
Deep familiarity with delivery methodologies and tools such as XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE
Experience using ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, and modern CI/CD tooling
