Responsibilities
Prepare detail drawings and simple assembly drawings while verifying dimension, fits, and tolerances
Utilize drafting knowledge efficiently in drawing and sketch creation
Prepare all detail drawings and simple assembly drawings and revisions with moderate supervision
Utilize BWXT’s Computer Aided Design (Siemens NX) system efficiently, after any initial training
Verify drawing accuracy concerning such items as dimensions, fits, and tolerances
Use Microsoft products efficiently
Have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Knowledge of Model Based Design is not required but would be a plus
Work directly with other Engineering disciplines
Develop general knowledge of assigned components, as well as working knowledge of our Work Instructions and their relationship to NOG Administrative Procedures
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in a Mechanical Engineering or related Technology field
Positive attitude and proactive approach to identifying and providing solutions to problems while maintaining project schedules
Ability to write clear, concise and accurate technical reports, procedures and other documentation
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in design or testing environment preferred
Knowledge of Model Based Design is not required but would be a plus
