Senior Marketing Consultant

AffordX is a pre-revenue adtech startup focused on audience affordability and purchase-propensity scoring for performance marketers. They are seeking a Senior Marketing Consultant with deep marketing and adtech experience to define and launch the AffordX brand and go-to-market strategy, taking ownership of positioning, messaging, and commercial packaging.

Responsibilities

Define and refine the AffordX brand story, positioning, and value proposition for performance marketing agencies and DTC brands (fashion, beauty, consumer electronics)
Build a complete go-to-market strategy, including target segments, messaging, channels, and a launch plan for early lighthouse customers
Lead website strategy and structure (and oversee design/production): information architecture, copy, core pages, and landing pages that clearly explain AffordX’s capabilities and differentiation
Develop core marketing assets: one-pagers, pitch decks, case-study templates, and FAQs tailored to agencies and advertisers
Propose and validate a pricing and packaging framework for AffordX services (e.g., suppression deciles, high-affordability audiences, vertical packages)
Recommend demand-gen and awareness tactics (content, webinars, partner marketing, events) that match AffordX’s early-stage budget and resources
Set up measurement basics: define key marketing KPIs and lightweight reporting to show what’s working and where to iterate

Required

10+ years of experience in marketing and adtech / martech, ideally including audience data, programmatic advertising, or DSP/DMP/CDP environments
Proven track record creating positioning, brand narratives, and GTM strategies for B2B SaaS or adtech products
Strong understanding of how performance marketing agencies and DTC brands buy media and data (DV360, The Trade Desk, Meta, etc.)
Experience guiding website strategy and content (you don't need to code, but you know how to brief designers and developers and own the story)
Comfort working directly with founders in a pre‑revenue, ambiguous environment and turning loose ideas into clear plans and assets
Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex data/tech concepts in simple, compelling language
