Responsibilities
Manage HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, offboarding, and performance management
Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and compliance practices
Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation planning
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Support a positive, productive, and collaborative workplace culture
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations
Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and expense tracking
Prepare financial reports and dashboards for ownership
Monitor cash flow and support financial decision-making
Coordinate with external accountants, bookkeepers, and tax professionals
Support annual tax filings, audits (if applicable), and financial compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of experience in HR, and finance
Non Profit Experience
Strong understanding of California hourly employment law, payroll processes and financial principles
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Preferred
M.B.A
Experience setting up HR systems and Financial processes
HR or finance certifications (e.g., SHRM, PHR, CPA)
Experience with HRIS, payroll, and accounting software (Paycom & Yardi)
